Applications
Electrical Solutions for Every Need
MC4 connectors are widely used as connectors for solar panels in rooftop systems, solar farms, and off-grid installations. They are compatible with most solar cables and ensure reliable performance in various environmental conditions.
Quick Guide
What is an MC4 Connector?
The MC4 connector is a touch-proof photovoltaic connector used to connect solar panels, combiner box inverters, and other DC components, enabling them to safely transmit high-voltage DC electricity.
How to Disconnect MC4 Connector?
First, shut down the solar system (Inverter and dc isolator).
Use a dedicated MC4 wrench to insert into the side clips and press inward.
Finally, pull the connector apart forcefully.
We recommend purchasing two of the MC4 disconnect tools for tightening these connectors. They are not necessary, but it makes assembly a lot easier and does not risk damaging the connector with pliers.
