01. Description
P etroChina’s first surface photovoltaic project – Daqing Oilfield Xinghuo Surface Photovoltaic Power Station is an active response to the national “double carbon” strategic goal, the implementation of PetroChina’s overall deployment of “clean substitution, strategic succession, and green transformation” to create a “green and low-carbon Daqing Oilfield” The pilot demonstration project of “Sustainable Development Demonstration Base”.
The power station has an installed capacity of 18.73 megawatts and an average annual power generation equivalent to 8,400 tons of standard coal for thermal power generation, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 22,000 tons. Since it was connected to the grid for power generation on June 30 last year, the power station has been operating smoothly, and all indicators and parameters have met the design requirements. All the power generated has been absorbed by the oil field load, “cleanly charging” the oil field.

Photovoltaic power generation is cleaner than thermal power generation, but it relies heavily on the natural environment and requires a wider space for the layout of power generation panels. Therefore, the areas where photovoltaic power generation is developing rapidly in China are mainly northwest grasslands and deserts. Although These areas have strong light, vast land and sparsely populated areas, which are very suitable for the construction of photovoltaic power plants. However, due to the underdeveloped industry in these areas, the demand for electricity is not large. At present, domestic electricity consumption is mainly concentrated in the eastern region. However, there are not only The value of densely populated land is also higher, so it is not suitable for large-scale development of the photovoltaic power generation industry, which conflicts with the development needs of clean energy.
Our country has innovatively proposed the construction of large-scale photovoltaic power stations on the water surface. Since the land in the eastern region is very precious, we can simply build photovoltaic power generation on the dense water network in this area and make use of the crisscrossing lakes, rivers and reservoirs. Water-based photovoltaic power plants have many advantages compared to facilities built on the ground:
① Floating photovoltaic power stations do not occupy scarce land resources such as cultivated land, forest land, and general agricultural land, and increase the added value of water areas;
② The water surface of ponds, lakes or coal mining subsidence areas generally has a relatively open surrounding environment, and the components are oriented in the same direction, which facilitates centralized arrangement and centralized management; the surface of the water area has relatively less dust and is easy to clean, so operation and maintenance management can ensure even power generation. favorable;
③ Can increase power generation by about 7% to 12%: The radiation on the inclined surface of the photovoltaic module consists of direct solar radiation, scattered radiation, and reflected radiation, while the reflectivity of the water surface is about 0.6%, which is much higher than the ground , grassland and other environments, after testing and evaluation, the total radiation amount on the inclined surface of the photovoltaic module is approximately 1.5% higher than that on the ground;
④ The temperature changes in water areas are relatively small, and the cooling effect of water bodies in summer can suppress the rise in surface temperature of photovoltaic modules and increase power generation;
⑤ The eastern region of my country is rich in water resources, has a large demand for electricity, and has a strong power grid structure, which can generally be connected to the nearby grid for consumption;
⑥ Floating photovoltaic power stations can effectively shade the water surface, reduce water evaporation, inhibit algae growth, help control water pollution, and improve water quality and environment.
